Creditors’ Rights
  • Foreclosed a client company’s security interest in a high-end restaurant and set up new management.
  • Obtained and recorded a judgment against a Colorado debtor trucking company in default on
    a $6 million loan.
  • Negotiated on behalf of a real estate investment partnership with the bankruptcy trustee of a defunct investment in oil-producing real estate to recover the partners’ $15 million investment.

  • Represented the property owner in both approval of sale and change of use of a large urban warehouse property, now zoned for housing.

Regulatory Compliance
  • Advised the owner of a $4 million Northern California shopping center in a remediation program design and approval by state and county water quality agencies.
  • Negotiated with the state on behalf of the owner of a former gas station property in Northern California regarding underground tank removal and subsequent remediation.
  • Represented the owner of a former gas station property in Southern California, subsequently developed into an office building, in settlement of $13 million contamination claims.

  • Renegotiated and restructured a $10 million golf course resort development limited liability company due to the retirement of a member.
  • Restructured a $20 million family real estate investment partnership into separate entities due to diverging goals and interests of family members.
